“The movie is set in medieval Europe—a retelling of Arthurian legends. The scene that needs scoring is the feast after a wedding. There is roughly twenty seconds of high-energy dancing/revelry footage followed by forty seconds of intense dialogue between three characters (the dancing and revelry continues in the background). The creative team has decided a period ensemble is best for this particular scene, at least for the first twenty seconds before the dialogue.”

“The movie is set in 1980s Manhattan, the more glamorous areas of the city. In this scene, the main character is seeing the city for the first time. The first thirty seconds of the scene are aiming to capture the awe and excitement as the protagonist stands still, takes everything in, and imagines her opportunities there. The next thirty seconds is a quick montage of her looking at various restaurants, shops, landmarks, and passerby. There is no prominent dialogue in the scene—only the background sound effects of city life. The creative team is flexible regarding instrumentation; they have both an orchestra and an 80's era rock/pop band at their disposal.”
